Role Overview The First Aid and CPR Instructor is responsible for delivering American Red Cross–approved training courses to individuals, organizations, and community partners. Instruction is conducted in accordance with Red Cross curriculum standards and focuses on practical skill development, participant engagement, and compliance with certification requirements. Key Responsibilities Deliver First Aid, CPR, AED, and related safety courses following approved Red Cross lesson plans Ensure all instructional materials, equipment, and training environments meet Red Cross standards Accurately document attendance, skills verification, and course completion records Evaluate participant performance and provide corrective feedback when required Maintain current instructor certification and complete required continuing education Represent the American Red Cross in a professional and mission-aligned manner during all training events Required Qualifications Current American Red Cross Instructor Certification in First Aid and CPR Strong instructional and communication skills Ability to manage small to medium-sized groups in classroom and field settings Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned region Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching workplace or institutional safety training Prior experience with adult education or emergency response instruction
Role Overview The Training Services Coordinator supports the planning, scheduling, and quality assurance of Red Cross training programs. This role serves as the operational backbone for instructor deployment, course logistics, and compliance tracking across assigned regions or programs. Key Responsibilities Coordinate scheduling of instructors, facilities, and training events Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and instructor credentials Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, instructors, and internal stakeholders Monitor training quality and adherence to Red Cross standards Assist with onboarding and credential verification for new instructors Prepare reports related to training volume, compliance, and program performance Required Qualifications Strong organizational and administrative skills Experience with scheduling systems, LMS platforms, or training databases Ability to manage multiple priorities in a compliance-driven environment Professional written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in training administration, healthcare education, or nonprofit operations Familiarity with American Red Cross training programs or credentialing processes
Authorized by the American Red Cross to deliver Advanced Life Support (ALS) education in accordance with current evidence-based guidelines.
